It was a very great time in Krazy Karl! We saw lot of nice places like Little Manatee River State Park, Blue Springs State Park, Daytona Beach, Gamble Rogers State Park at Flagler Beach, Silver River State Park, Hillsborough River State Park, and meet "Winter the dolphin' in Clearwater. We wish to see you again!

Me and my mom arrived on Wednesday to Ft Desoto campground. My mom drove me to school on Thursday and Friday. On Friday my friend joined us. We put up the cabana and it was lovely, the same color as karl. In the evening a 'mild cold front' with a 10-20% chance of rain hit. We slept soundly in karl while outside the wind was 30 mph. The next morning when I woke, the cabana had flipped sideways and was stuck between two trees. A giant wall of Mexican beige! We laughed all morning. Our friends came camping and loved Karl too. Mom says Karl drives awesome! We love you Karl!!!

Heading over to Sebastian now. We have gotten lots of compliments on Karl, jamming to the radio with our kids, which by the way are 9 & 5. We took turns sleeping upstairs so we all get a chance to sleep up there. Another fun day! he gave my finance a trip down memory lane.

We have a 1990 VW Vanagon at home in Germany. We deiced to rent an old bus for our Honeymoon. Krazy Karl was only a little different and it only took me a few hours to feel right at home. We traveled to Cape Canaveral, Ft Lauderdale, Miami, the keys, Everglades, Naples and back to Oldscool Campers. We saw many landscapes and animals that we do not see in Europe. So, we would like to say thank-you to Dixie and mike and of course to "Verruchter karl" from good old Germany!

If you're looking for an amazing vacation in a VW Bus, don't hesitate to get in touch with Mike and Dixie at Florida Oldscool Campers. Mike has restored each bus to pristine condition and they've included details like coffee makers, pillows, lanterns, sheets and beach towels to make the trip easy. Arranging the rental, pick-up and drop off were all easy.

We camped with our 1 and 3 year old and had an absolute blast. There is plenty of space in the bus and we loved the rotating passenger seat.

Ft. DeSoto Park is about 20 minutes from their shop and is a campground well worth exploring. Mike and Dixie are also more than willing to provide other good recommendations about places to go and things to do throughout the state.
